Proof A has a light background and is in the small size measuring approx. 7.5cm by 9.5cm.
Only two sets of four proofs numbered Proofs A to D, plus two singles and another in a slightly different design (Proof E) were released
from Harrison and Sons Ltd.’s archives when De La Rue and Co. purchased Harrison and Sons Ltd. in 1997.
All four proofs are slightly different with differing backgrounds and contast.
It is thought that any remaining proofs were destroyed.
The proof has been expertised on the back in pencil as Photographic Proof A.
Only two sets of four proofs are thought to exist.
